Welcome to the world of toddlers, where you, as the parents, feel like you're living with a tiny, unpredictable tornado. Toddlerhood is like building a house, where the lessons they learn during this stage lay the foundation for great cognitive, emotional, and social development. Each week parents will be equipped with knowledge & fun play activities to support their little one's development.
Meeting other parents in the same phase of life as yourself is not always an easy task, especially if you're new to an area. Our groups are small, limited to 6 families, in order to encourage lasting friendships. Meetings utilize an open, structured format, providing parent education through interactions between members learning from each other, sharing experiences, and asking candid questions.
Toddler Play & Learn groups are led by Bailey Garcia, MOT, OTR/L, a pediatric Occupational Therapist with almost a decade of experience working with little ones. Bailey is passionate about nurturing skills using the power of play, while equipping parents with proven, evidence-based tools to feel confident about their little one's development.
The areas of emotional, cognitive, physical and social development will be covered based on the needs of the group:
...and so much more!
Groups meet weekly for 5 weeks for 75 minutes of parenting support and fun developmental activities. Other local community experts will visit meetings as well to enhance learning pertaining to specific areas.
